Hakim Group Hosts Inaugural SharkTank for Independent Practices in Scotland

Hakim Group brought together independent practice partners from across Scotland for the first-ever Scottish SharkTank held last week at the Radisson in Glasgow. Designed to empower partners and inspire growth, the event centred on the theme: “Harnessing the Power of Influence.”

The day featured an inspiring session led by Brad Waldren, who shared valuable insights into leveraging influence to amplify impact, grow practices, and strengthen professional networks. Optometry Scotland also attended the event to collaborate ideas and network with HG partners.

The event, attended by Group CEO Imran Hakim and key members of Hakim Group’s Executive Leadership Team, showcased the groups commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation within its growing network of independent practices in Scotland.

Pamela Robertson, Clinical Director at Angus Optix, a Hakim Group independent practice, commented:
“We all had a great day and it was fantastic to connect with like-minded professionals from within the HG family and share strategies to elevate patient care and practice performance. Brad Waldren’s session was excellent and really got me thinking. Events like these truly highlight Hakim Group’s dedication to supporting independent practice owners.”

Speaking on the importance of the SharkTank event, Luke Wren, Chief Development Officer at Hakim Group, said:

Following a similar event in Ireland last year and again earlier this year, the inaugural Scottish SharkTank is just one of the many initiatives Hakim Group is championing, to ensure the continued success of its independent practices and partners. By focusing on collaboration and actionable insights, Hakim Group reaffirms its position as a leader in supporting the growth and resilience of independent optometry practices.
