Once I joined as a joint venture partner, I didn’t have to worry about my exit plan any more. I could concentrate on enjoying my last few years in practice. The Hakim Group is everything it’s cracked up to be. I’m Wendy Diddams and I got into optics a long time ago and it changed my life. I realised how many children were being missed and how it was impacting lifelong on their ability to see and that’s when I bought this practice. I’m now 65 and we can’t do things forever, you know, we only have so long.
So although at that time, I didn’t really feel I was ready to start disposing of the practice. You know, Imran was very open with me and giving me many other joint venture partners and owners to talk to. I think by the time he left that evening, there wasn’t any doubt that I was going to join the Hakim Group and never have I ever found anybody with anything but praise really joining the group was protecting the service to the community, protecting the staff’s jobs, as well as protecting my future as well.

I’m not sure when exactly I’ll feel I want to retire completely, but that again is so lovely to have that flexibility once I joined as a joint venture partner. I didn’t have to worry about my exit plan any more. I could concentrate on enjoying my last few years in practice. The Hakim Group is everything it’s cracked up to be.

Every one of our partners have enjoyed an attractive profit every year they have been with us…. and now we just can’t get rid of them!
